Re-mixable films is the next step in fun stuff for artist, not merely putting out something under creative commons, but actually putting up all the source files for others to put up their take. Talking of free access, there is an audio device called squeezebox that offers the software part as open source, so you can do your own adjustments to features and locales. Nice. And they even have resellers right here in Norway...
